Professional Background
Hi, my name is Dirk Halley and I joined Valley Forge this past April as a Projects Engineer Manager.
My background and experience started with joining the US Army to pay for my college tuition. After earning my Technical Degree, I began my first job at Bentley Nevada. After moving up to Department Supervisor, I then went on to earn my Business Degree from the University of Phoenix and then secured a Six Sigma Black Belt and LEAN Leader for Manufacturing. I also worked for Global Projects Group and GE Oil and Gas as a Project Manager before joining Valley Forge and Bolt in the spring of 2021.Why did you choose to join the team at Valley Forge?
I enjoy working for Valley Forge because I love helping solve customer’s problems with technology. Valley Forge is always continuing to advance their technology to solve bolting challenges and I’m so excited to be a part of that!
What special approach do you bring to the team?
I have been involved with Valley Forge’s electronics and manufacturing for a very long time including using some of my connections to help build the 400 Series units years ago. My experience in Electronics Manufacturing combined with customer facing project management is something that any engineering group can use. I have a bias to complete products and projects on time and on budget. This helps keep the projects oriented to the customer’s needs, and brings those projects to fruition in a timely manner.
What kind of activities do you enjoy outside of work?
Outside of working I am one of those people that think weather dictates what you wear, not what you do. I very much enjoy the outdoors, hiking and fishing, camping and just going to see and experience a new place.
